EnglishThe students started with a discussion about the different kinds of houses that we have around the world. They were also shared with an audio-visual about the kinds of houses. They joyously discussed about the kind of house they would live in and why. They gradually understood about factual and story presentation and were led to the fiction and non-fiction part of the lesson learning. The students were thrilled with the game vocal a to z and learnt about phonics again by revising the basics and correcting the enunciation of each letter in the alphabet. Our active learners brilliantly grasped upon the suffixes and prefixes in a word and spelling work al, all- when and how they are used. They learnt about joining words as well with the help of conjunctions and FANBOY was an intriguing part of learning along with brainstorming for when to use a conjunction in sentences. Our energetic learners reflected their zest in reading and comprehending skills which were presented in a rhythmic way to them - ‘The Lemon Tree’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udwdInzAe88 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOlKBvDX_1k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fTSI8s2VpY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPqxNqO8u-A Hindiछात्रों को समय का महत्व समझाते हुए, विडियो दिखाकर ‘हर काम ठीक समय पर’ पाठ का परिचय दिया गया। संबंधित लिंक: https://youtu.be/CmrNmspqhQs https://youtu.be/AvakIFgvDPQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQdTe3uXfSQ MATHAfter learning importance of money in the real life surroundings the students were introduced to another mathematical operation - MULTIPLICATION during the month of October. They first related multiplication with their real life surroundings and identified that repeated addition can be used to create multiplication tables. They were introduced to keyterms and keywords related to multiplication. Thereafter, properties of multiplication were taken one by one and discussed briefly with the children. The students learnt short tricks to multiply any number by 10,100 and 1000.The concept of vertical multiplication was introduced to the children where in the multiplicands were of 2,3 and 4 digit numbers and multiplier was a 1 digit number. Taking learning further to an experiential mode and as a part of Math,Science and Art Integration, a parent walk-in exhibition was organised where the little educators taught the basic operations of mathematics, Shin Program and mental math to their parents beautifully. SCIENCEThe month started with the recap of light and sources of light. Luminous and non-luminous were introduced to the kids by giving them the real-life examples. Students learnt how to segregate the objects on the basis of light producer and light reflector. Followed by this they learnt that sun is a light producer and moon is a light reflector. Our young ones made solar and lunar eclipse for the better understanding of the concept. They also learnt that “how shadow is formed “by a class activity. With another activity kids learnt that shadow changes its length during different time of the day. Different kinds of sound were discussed and with the different examples students divided the sound in pleasant and unpleasant category. After a little brainstorming and group discussion they came up with the beautiful ideas that how noise can be reduced. They also learnt about the force with real life examples. Kids enthusiastically participated in the game called “ which force am I? “and understood that the force is a push or a pull.
